App permissions
@ohpinion asks for a permission only when a feature needs it. You can deny a permission; that feature will not work until you allow it in system settings. Denying one permission does not delete your account.
| Permission | Why |

| Internet | Load your feed, upload posts and Spills, sign in, and sync ratings. |
| Camera | Take photos and videos for posts and Spills. |
| Microphone | Record audio when you capture a Spill video. |
| Photos / media | Choose images and video for posts, Spills, and your profile photo. On Android 12 and below this uses read storage, limited to those versions. On newer Android it uses photo and video access. |
| Save to photos | Only if you choose to save an image you created in the app to your library. |
Not requested
- Precise location or GPS
- Contacts
- SMS or phone calls
- Background location
In-app notifications are stored in your account. They follow the notification preferences in Settings.
